Temperatures were frigid. With each grasp of her ungloved hand, Elle risked her fingers dropping below 98.6 degrees. Though her circular transportation device allowed her to get places that would be otherwise unobtainable, currently it was as much of a nuisance as a helper. Elle looked up at the large person who could self transport by means currently unknown to her. She knew her door of opportunity would close soon, literally. She dug down deep for her final attempt and leaned her body as far forward as possible, hands out stretched, head down, fingers wiggling in anticipation. If she could only...time was running short; the large person was approaching. Finally, in a serendipitous coincidence, her quadricep muscles fired and propelled her toward the object of her desire. She clutched it in her hands and leaned back just as the door locking in the cold slammed shut. It was no matter now, she had what she wanted and pulled it in close, celebrating as she headed for open space. Her mission had been accomplished!
